Inaugurated on the 14th of September, the Charles Tchuente law firm came about as a result of his promoters' will to bring to the investors a specific assistance in the field of Business Law in Cameroon and in the area of OHADA presently consisting of 17 countries of Central and Western Africa.

Indeed, the founders of the office had noticed that more than ten years after the coming into force of the Uniform Act on OHADA from which the purpose is to guarantee to the investors a legal and especially judicial safety in the practice of the business, almost no structure implanted in Cameroon had really specialized in the promotion of this new law the contents of which are nevertheless revolutionary as for the protection of the investors desirous of settling in the Francophone Africa.

Charles Tchuente Law firm is from its creation, specialized in the law of the investments and the specific business for the legislation on OHADA and has since then, overseen the creation and the setting-up of several new companies in Cameroon where its main office is situated as well as in the Chad, and in Equatorial Guinea where we have secondary branches and permanent representatives.

Within the framework of its development, the Charles Tchuente law firm created within two years, besides the department of Corporate law and the investments, a department of Common Law and Criminal law, a department Civil Procedure, a department Intellectual property and Tax system and a department of the audit of the payment and the salaries.

Every department includes Lawyers and jurists of benefitting experience, each of them in the domain of his specialization, to bring to our clients, a specific answer to the more and more technical consultations which are almost subjected to us daily.

Our objective during the next two years is to pursue the specialization of the activities of the office with the inauguration planned in January, 2012 in the department of the Law of e-commerce and the environment, and before 2013, the finalization of the setting-up of the secondary branch in most of the countries of the space OHADA.
