Chip is an associate in the firm's Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section, where he represents both debtors and creditors in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings. He routinely works on the client service team for indenture trustees and/or institutional bondholders in connection with the bankruptcies of debtors in an array of industries, including health care, energy, and aviation. Chip is also active in the firm's debtor practice, representing clients in a variety of liquidation and reorganization contexts.
Chip graduated, cum laude, from Colgate University, earning a B.A. with a double concentration in English and History. He was awarded his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School (2002), where he was an executive editor of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter Digest. Following law school, Chip served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Joel B. Rosenthal of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Chip is an active member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Boston Bar Association, and has been named a Rising Star in Massachusetts by Super Lawyers.
