Chauncey W. Lever, Jr. is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm's Finance & Financial Institutions Practice, and its Health Care Finance & Restructuring and Public Finance Practices. Mr. Lever practices in the area of public finance, serving as bond counsel and counsel to underwriters, purchasers, credit enhancers, issuers, trustees, and other parties in connection with governmental purpose and private activity financings. He has extensive experience with financings for governmental capital improvements and infrastructure, utilities, hospitals and other health care facilities, housing, retirement facilities, educational facilities, solid waste disposal facilities, industrial development, and community redevelopment. Mr. Lever's practice in public finance includes related tax and securities law matters.
Mr. Lever is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law (J.D., 1978), where he was an editor of the University of Florida Law Review, and of Wofford College (B.A., summa cum laude, 1975), where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Lever has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system and was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2003-2012).
