Cheri A. Chestnut

Cheri has significant background in cargo loss and damage in all transportation modes, general average, personal injury defense, energy, land contamination, construction, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, entertainment and property/casualty cases. She has experience in trials, mediations, arbitrations and appeals both domestically and internationally.

Cheri obtained a Certificate in Admiralty while at Tulane Law School and was a member of the Maritime Law Society. She was also president of the Entertainment Law Society. During law school, Cheri clerked with full service law firms in New Orleans and London, and volunteered at pro bono organizations. Cheri was also part of the Civil Litigation Clinic at Tulane Law School, and was honored with the Woman Law Student of the Year Award from the National Association for Women Lawyers in 2002.

Cheri is an active member of the Maritime Law Association, and served as Chair of the Committee for the Annual Spring Dinner. She is also active in W Girls New Orleans, an organization for underprivileged women and children.
