Cheryl L. James is counsel in our Tax Group in Calgary. She practises primarily in the areas of Wills and Estates Administration, Dependent Adults, Pensions and Immigration.
Ms. James regularly advises employers and workers in all aspects of immigration matters including the process to bring foreign workers to Canada and to obtain permanent resident status. Ms. James is a former Chair of the South Alberta Pensions and Benefits and Wills and Trusts Sections of the Canadian Bar Association. She has acted as an instructor at the Bar Admission Course and presented papers on various estate planning matters such as "RRSP Beneficiary Designations."
She has lectured for the Calgary Board of Education on Wills and Estate Planning. Ms. James was a Director of The Calgary Foundation from 1996 to 2005 and former chair of the Grants Committee.
