Cheylynn Hayman is a member of the firm's litigation group with an emphasis on employment law and employment defense. Ms. Hayman also has experience working with direct marketing companies and related distributor issues. With an eye toward helping clients avoid litigation issues, Ms. Hayman assists large and small employers in developing effective employment policies, procedures and handbooks. She has extensive experience with Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USSERA). She also has experience in areas concerning employment contracts, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, independent contractor issues, and counseling clients on employment defense strategies. Ms. Hayman conducts in-house training programs for supervisors and employers on topics including hiring and firing, disability accommodations, and sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination. Ms. Hayman earned a B.A. degree, cum laude, in English from the University of Utah in 2000. She was a National Moot Court Quarter Finalist in 2002-2003. Ms. Hayman was listed in the 2006, and 2009-2011 editions of Utah Business magazine's Legal Elite and in the 2008-2011 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers.
