| Biography | Chris Colclasure joined the firm's Environmental and Litigation Practice Group in 2010 and focuses his practice on the Clean Air Act, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and natural resources development matters. With respect to air quality, Mr. Colclasure assists clients with regulatory compliance, obtaining permits, negotiating administrative orders, and litigating enforcement actions. He has prepared and defended Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments relating to mining and infrastructure projects. Mr. Colclasure also has experience defending proposed projects against challenges under the Endangered Species Act and the National Historic Preservation Act. Mr. Colclasure's litigation experience includes NEPA, toxic torts, and general civil matters. He has assisted with site remediation and Superfund litigation. In addition to civil litigation, Mr. Colclasure has prosecuted criminal cases and appeared in administrative hearings. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Colclasure practiced at a Denver law firm and served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Air Force. He currently serves as an attorney in the Air Force Reserves. He is licensed to practice in Colorado; the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit; and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
