Background
Christel Higgs is an Associate in our Toronto office, and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2007. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, with a concentration in Law and Social Justice and was the recipient of the W&E Mendes Prize for her human rights paper in International Protection. During her law school years, Christel was also employed as a research assistant.
Christel joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as a summer student in 2005 and articled at the firm's Ottawa office before coming to BLG's Toronto office in 2007 as an associate.
Prior to attending law school, Christel received an Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies from McMaster University.
