Background
Christiaan Jordaan is an associate in our Toronto Office. He earned his law degree at the University of Toronto (J.D. 2007) and was called to the Ontario bar in 2008.
Christiaan has a diverse commercial litigation practice with particular experience in class actions, judicial review, banking litigation, pension litigation and obtaining extraordinary remedies such as Anton Piller orders. Selected cases include successfully opposing a judicial review application brought against a federally-created authority with respect to the allocation of access rights to a Toronto airport, and successfully opposing certification of a class action brought against major Canadian banks for alleged delays in the cheque clearing process. Christiaan has experience at all levels of court in Ontario and the Federal Court system.
