Christian Roy's practice focuses primarily on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency and realization of bank guarantees. His services are often retained by companies with restructuring needs and by court-appointed officers, financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors and purchasers of assets from distressed companies. He has acted for several financial institutions and companies in connection with informal workouts and debtor-in-possession financings. Mr. Roy has participated in numerous major restructurings and receiverships, in a broad range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, sawmills, pulp and paper, technology, pharmaceutical, mining, retail and real estate. He also acts in cases involving liability of directors and officers.

· The senior secured noteholders in the restructuring of Northern Star Mining, a public company, and Jake Resources Inc., a private company
· A company specializing in the manufacture and packaging of products for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food industries, in its restructuring pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA)
· Les Cliniques Orthésium inc., in its acquisition pursuant to the provisions of the BIA of the assets of La Maison Orthésis Inc., a private company
· Hydro-Québec in the $615 million acquisition of a 60 per cent interest in the McCormick Hydroelectric Facility from Abitibi-Consolidated Company of Canada
· PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., as receiver, for the sale of the assets of Meubles Laurier Ltée to subsidiaries of Teknion Roy & Breton inc.
· BNP Paribas (Canada), in connection with an application for protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) by Groupe Kheops inc.
· Royal Bank of Canada, in connection with an application for protection under the CCAA by Jyco Inc.
· AXA Assurances inc., in connection with the proposal of the debtor CFG Construction inc. to its creditors pursuant to the provisions of the BIA
· Medical Intelligence Technologies Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company, and its subsidiary Medical
· Intelligence Canada Inc., in restructuring their finances and operations pursuant to the CCAA in March 2009
· Harfan Technologies Inc., a private company, in the sale of its assets to Altus Group Limited and the filing of a proposal to the creditors of Harfan Technologies pursuant to the BIA
