She is licensed to practice in Michigan, the federal Eastern District of Michigan and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. With extensive experience in both the federal and state appellate courts, Ms. Ginter regularly deals with a number of different substantive issues, including medical malpractice, employment discrimination, commercial litigation, real estate, municipal law, civil rights, constitutional law, and probate law. She has written articles and presented at seminars on such diverse topics as post-judgment and appellate procedure, future advance mortgages, HIPAA, and Michigan tort reform. Ms. Ginter serves in many organizations concerned with appellate practice and recently was elected as Chair of the State Bar's Appellate Practice Section. The Appellate Practice Section is an organization made up of over six hundred appellate practitioners and judges that provides education regarding appellate practice, and works with the appellate courts and the Legislature on issues involving appellate procedure and appellate court administration. Ms. Ginter also was selected to serve on a special committee composed of practicing attorneys and appellate judges that will explore a pilot settlement program at the Court of Appeals. She was named a Rising Star in 2009 and 2010 by Super Lawyers. Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or those who have practiced for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of Michigan lawyers are named to this list every year. |
