Christine is a registered patent attorney with substantial experience in prosecuting patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and several foreign intellectual property organizations. Christine's practice also includes counseling clients with respect to competitive technology and providing patentability and non-infringement opinions. Christine's technical experience extends to many diverse technologies, with a concentration in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and medical devices. In addition to significant work in the areas of patents and trademarks, Christine has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of various contractual agreements, with particular emphasis on agreements related to clinical trial research, technology transfer and licensing, as well as to complex research and development collaborations. Notable Experience · Christine's practice currently focuses on assisting clients with various aspects of patent and trademark law, as well as counseling clients on complex transactional matters. · Christine's practice also extends to several foreign territories and to servicing clients abroad with various intellectual property matters. Before Edwards Wildman Prior to joining the Firm, Christine worked for five years as an in-house counsel for Cambridge NeuroScience, where she served as Manager of Legal Affairs and Associate Patent Counsel. Her responsibilities there included the drafting and negotiation of agreements in support of the company's clinical studies, and to facilitate its technology transfer and research and development programs. Additionally, Christine's work at Cambridge NeuroScience included the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and International patent applications. Christine also has significant scientific research and development experience, having held positions with leading biopharmaceutical companies prior to becoming an attorney. While completing her law degree, Christine was employed by Genzyme Corporation as a Senior Research Associate, focusing mainly in the areas of protein purification and characterization of therapeutic product candidates.
