An accomplished trial lawyer and persuasive negotiator, Chris has tried and won more than 50 jury trials in state and federal courts across the country. She is a member of the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation industry group and has resolved lawsuits that sought tens of millions of dollars involving products such as capacitors, radiology equipment, augers, light rail systems, circuit boards, transformers, relays, switch gears, firearms, ammunition, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and chemicals. Among her accomplishments in the industrial production industry are:
•Obtained defense verdicts for Olin in firearm and ammunition cases in Iowa, Massachusetts and Virginia.
Obtained judgment in favor of client in a case alleging cancer from exposure to PCBs in the food chain.
Represented major telecommunication company in a 1,700-plaintiff class action lawsuit alleging age discrimination.
Chris is known for communicating complex evidence in ways that achieve maximum trial advantage for her clients - whether negotiating a resolution before trial begins, shutting down a case in its earliest stages or conveying a convincing defense in the courtroom. Her deep experience is recognized by her colleagues, who often seek her advice on effective trial strategies. She received the Trial Practitioner Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2010.
A member of the firm's Executive and Partner Boards, Chris also is chair of the firm's Diversity Council.

As national counsel, obtained defense verdicts in Iowa, Massachusetts and Virginia jury trials in cases involving claims that questioned the performance and safety of firearms and ammunition brought against Olin Corp., including wrongful death cases. Also defended in similar cases in Texas, West Virginia, Michigan, California, Illinois, Oregon, Alabama and Oklahoma.
•Obtained favorable jury verdict in case involving serious injury from use of an auger brought against Canadian manufacturer Westfield Industries Ltd.
•Favorably litigated many product liability cases in various jurisdictions for Siemens Corp. and its subsidiaries relating to electrical equipment, medical equipment and transportation equipment.
•Obtained jury verdict for St. Louis architectural firm in a fraud case over the construction of a palace in Saudi Arabia.
•Secured summary judgment in a case alleging cancer from exposure to PCBs in the food chain. The case was the first of many cases filed by more than 200 plaintiffs.
•Obtained 17 defense verdicts in a case brought by 17 plaintiffs against Olin Corp. alleging age discrimination in a reduction in force action at an Illinois ammunition factory. Victory was achieved despite an earlier lawsuit handled by a different law firm in which a worker in the same layoff was awarded $850,000. Result was recognized by the National Law Journal as one of the Top Ten Defense Verdicts of 2000.
•Favorably resolved lawsuits against California-based lead-mining company in railroad workers claims relating to the transportation of lead. Three cases over eight years involved dust from gondola cars and loading process and alleged health consequences.
•Obtained defense verdict in jury trial where plaintiff alleged religious discrimination. Judge also awarded defendant $100,000 in attorneys' fees.
•Obtained two defense verdicts in two separate jury trials against Sprint Corp. in Kansas federal court alleging age and gender discrimination.
•Represented large St. Louis-based packaging equipment manufacturer to enforce noncompete agreements and prevent dissemination of trade secrets by former employees.
