Litigation: Chris has experience in trademark and copyright litigation in federal courts and has been involved in multiple trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. His experience also includes litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act and investigations involving the Federal Trade Commission. Trademark Prosecution and Enforcement: Chris manages the trademark portfolios of numerous clients and has experience in all areas of US and foreign trademark prosecution and maintenance, including preparing and filing trademark applications, counseling clients regarding trademark clearance, developing international trademark protection and enforcement programs, and drafting trademark use manuals. Copyright Counseling: Chris advises clients on copyright protection, registration, enforcement and related issues. Internet: Chris has experience litigating rights to domain names under the federal Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act and the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. He has also drafted, filed, and prosecuted multiple applications for top-level domain names. Advertising: Chris has assisted clients with both national and international advertising campaigns. He counsels clients in the selection and clearance of advertising slogans, including evaluating advertisements for false or misleading representations. He also advises clients regarding compliance with regulatory labeling requirements. Licensing: Chris has experience in domestic and international intellectual property licensing, franchise agreements, and related recordation requirements. Corporate: Chris advises on intellectual property aspects in commercial transactions including acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures for US, foreign and multinational corporations.
