Chris focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He helps companies actively protect their trademarks, copyrights, patents and trade secrets. Chris also advises companies on the value and business impacts of intellectual property.
With a focus on intellectual property and general business matters, Chris drafts and negotiates license agreements, technology and software purchase agreements, nondisclosure agreements, sponsorship agreements, and service agreements.
Chris helps companies register and protect their trademarks and service marks at the federal and state level. Throughout the registration process, from trademark searches, filing, and through and after registration, Chris helps companies understand the intricacies of trademark law.
As a Portland native, Chris understands the value of community. He provides pro bono legal services as a Director of Art4Life, a growing arts education program that benefits elementary school students. Chris is also a recent graduate of Leadership Portland 2006, a Portland-based education and leadership class operated by the Portland Business Alliance.
In his leisure time, Chris enjoys traveling, sports, reading and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his family.
