Chris Churchill chairs the firm's Health Law Group. He represents hospitals, healthcare providers, nursing homes, medical device companies and other clients in healthcare-related matters involving regulatory compliance, Medicare/insurance reimbursement, fraud and abuse, False Claims Act, Stark and Anti-kickback Laws, managed care and third party payor agreements, information technology, joint ventures and business transactions, bylaws and organizational matters, medical staffing and privileges, non-profit status, antitrust/unfair competition and commercial contracting. Chris also represents providers, employers, educational institutions and other organizations in privacy/security matters and with HIPAA/HITECH compliance. In addition to his healthcare expertise, Chris has extensive prior business and transactional experience as corporate general counsel and in private practice in handling matters involving complex healthcare arrangements, corporate transactions, intellectual property and commercial contracting/litigation. Chris has served on the Health Care Policy Committee of the Alexander Graham Bell Association in Washington, D.C., as well as on the boards of various healthcare and not-for-profit organizations. He is also the author of numerous articles/publications on healthcare, information technology and business issues.
