Christopher L. Griffin is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and chair of the Litigation Department in the Tampa office. A member of the firm's Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Appellate Practices, he conducts a broad practice in commercial litigation, focusing on trade secrets, non-compete agreements, interference with business relations, and other business torts; libel, slander and defamation; and real estate litigation. He is also a member of the Sports Industry Team.
Mr. Griffin has litigated and tried complex commercial matters in all three of Florida's United States District Courts and Florida Circuit Courts throughout the state. He has argued appeals in the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and several of Florida's District Courts of Appeal.
Mr. Griffin has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system.
Mr. Griffin received his J.D., summa cum laude, in 1978 from Florida State University College of Law, and his B.A. in 1976, summa cum laude, from Florida State University.
He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County and American Bar Associations.
