Biography

Chris has more than 15 years of experience in the field of managing, protecting, prosecuting and litigating intellectual property matters. A member of Husch Blackwell's Food & Agribusiness industry team, he focuses on counseling, licensing and litigation in U.S. and international trademark, copyright, unfair competition, Internet and technology matters, primarily in the food and agribusiness sector. He provides opinions on trademark and copyright availability and infringement and has litigated numerous opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In his current practice, Chris manages the trademark portfolio for ConAgra Foods Inc., one of the largest food-manufacturing companies in the world, consisting of approximately 4,000 foreign and domestic individual trademark registrations. In addition to this Fortune 200 company, he also:

•Manages the trademark portfolio for Lucky Bucket Brewing.

Directs the trademark portfolio for SchillingBridge Winery & Microbrewery.

Manages the trademark portfolio for Sergeant's Pet Care Products.

In addition, Chris has worked on numerous acquisitions and divestitures of intellectual property and technology assets. He also has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of technology-related agreements, including trademark license agreements, technology and software license agreements, and copyright license agreements.
