He represents and counsels numerous hospitals, health systems, physicians, physician practice groups, and other businesses on a variety of health care matters such as joint ventures; integration strategies and models; medical practice transactions and acquisitions; professional services, lease, and employment agreements; the federal physician self-referral statute ("Stark Law"), the Anti-Kickback Statute, and other federal and state fraud and abuse laws; risk management and patient care issues; legal compliance; medical staff matters and licensure; HIPAA, HITECH Act, and other privacy laws; non-profit, tax exempt issues; IRS compliance, including private inurement and private benefit; third party payor contracting and audits; real estate transactions; long term care; general contracting; corporate formation and governance; and health care policies, procedures, and protocols.
