Chris is a founding partner of Swetman Baxter Massenburg, LLC and manages its Hattiesburg, Mississippi office. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2000 from Tulane University Law School, and also achieved certification in maritime law. Just four years out of law school, Chris was invited to become an Associate Professor of Trial Advocacy at Tulane. Chris is also a member of the LSU School of Law Trial Advocacy faculty, and is board certified as both a Civil Law Trial and Pretrial Practice Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Chris currently serves on the National Trial Team for multiple clients, and has tried cases in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and California. He has defended his clients in numerous cases as lead trial counsel, and has secured multiple zero verdicts by successfully showing juries that his clients did not do anything wrong. Even when trial is not desired, his experience at all levels of both simple and complex litigation allows Chris to provide his clients with a comprehensive defense for their cases.

Chris is AV® Peer and Client Review-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected for inclusion among the 2013 Super Lawyers®.
