Chris represents lenders, developers, educational institutions, individuals, municipalities and non-profit organizations in connection with the acquisition and disposition of real estate, financing, public procurement, leasing, land use, subdivision control law, and condominium matters. Chris has also advised clients with respect to the Massachusetts Public Records Law and the Freedom of Information Act.
Notable Experience
· Represented a state authority in connection with an $18 million loan from the authority to a developer of a museum attraction.
· Represented a lender in connection with a $26 million loan secured by a hotel and a leasehold interest in a parking garage.
· Represented a lender in connection with a $60 million loan secured by a residential apartment complex.
· Represented a non-profit organization in connection with construction financing.
· Represented a start-up in connection with the leasing of office space for its headquarters.
Before Edwards Wildman
During law school, Chris served as an articles editor on the Emory Law Journal. Additionally, he worked part-time in the legal department of a residential real estate investment trust.
Before law school, Chris traveled the country as a trial clerk with the United States Tax Court and worked in the closing department of a large mortgage company.
