Cindy Vaillancourt is a Partner in our Environmental Group in Montréal.
Ms. Vaillancourt's practice focuses on counseling on the environmental aspect of commercial transactions. She advises and drafts opinions on environmental compliance and permitting issues, coordinates environmental due diligence audits and negotiates contractual environmental clauses.
Her practice also involves issues in land rehabilitation, wind farm financing, closures of facilities and management of hazardous materials. She is, within the Environmental Group, a resource-person in latest environmental updates and on climate change issues.
Her expertise covers a variety of industrial sectors, such as mining, food processing, metallurgy, pulp and paper, waste management, chemicals and energy.
Ms. Vaillancourt received a Master's degree in international and transnational law and a Bachelor's degree in civil law (LLB) from Université Laval. She also studied common law at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.
Prior to joining our Montréal office, she was a legal and political advisor on Parliament Hill in Ottawa notably on climate change issues.
