Claiborne is a member of the Telecommunications and Technology Practice Group. He represents a number of major public utility holding company systems on all of their telecommunications, energy services and electronic commerce activities. He also advises clients regarding the ever changing landscape of Federal Communications Commission rules and orders.
Claiborne also has a background in construction litigation where he has represented owners, contractors and suppliers in construction-related disputes. He has also advised clients in all facets of construction lien law and construction licensing law in many southeastern states.
Claiborne is experienced in litigating various complex commercial disputes including breach of contract, fraud, construction liens, and business torts.

Successfully represented and continues to represent multiple national banks in recovering losses due to the foreclosure of partially built homes and subdivisions.
Co-counsel to a regional construction supplier in connection with drafting purchase agreements for use with both consumer and commercial customers.
Successfully assisted the representation of a group of condominium associations in a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a roofing contractor.
Successfully assisted in recovery of a mechanics lien for a subcontractor after the general contractor absconded.
Successfully assisted a general contractor in recovering a multi-million dollar judgment against the property owner for breach of contract and failure to pay.
