Mr. Sweeney has extensive experience in advising emerging businesses and established corporations on all aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and ESOPs. He has represented businesses in state and federal courts in matters of banking law, antitrust, securities, real estate, insurance, noncompete agreements, contracts, takeovers, M&A, UCC and corporate matters.

International Practice
Mr. Sweeney has represented foreign and domestic companies in corporate matters involving the laws of England, Ireland, Wales, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Australia, Denmark, New Zealand, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique and Peru. He has represented Chinese corporations throughout the Western hemisphere and established joint ventures in China for marketing U.S. technology.
Business Advisory Practice
Mr. Sweeney has represented businesses about entity structuring issues and shareholder matters, including negotiating shareholders' agreements, asset purchase and stock purchase agreements, commercial leases, employment agreements and corporate policy manuals. He has advised clients on shareholder rights, warrants and real property, and he has participated in many corporate transactions exceeding $500 million each.
