Mr. Cheek is a member with Oliver Friesen Cheek, PLLC and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2003. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1995 and worked in a fundraising capacity with Ducks Unlimited, Inc., in Memphis, Tennessee prior to attending law school. Mr. Cheek obtained his J.D. and M.B.A. from Wake Forest University in 2002. Prior to joining the law firm of Oliver & Friesen, PLLC, he practiced with Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland, LLP in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, focusing on Estate Planning, Corporate Law and Bankruptcy. Mr. Cheek also served as an adjunct professor of Business Law at Elizabeth City State University and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the North Carolina State Bar.
