| Biography | Clif Pastel has broad experience handling federal, state and local tax matters, including litigation in the United States Tax Court and in Pennsylvania tribunals. His practice has concentrated on tax-exempt financings, including bond issues for school districts, sewer and water authorities, hospitals, industrial development authorities, housing finance authorities and other municipal and state authorities, and compliance with arbitrage rebate requirements. He also has extensive experience in advising on the taxation of other financial products and investment vehicles, including mortgage backed securities, obligations issued with original issue discount, limited partnership syndications and low income housing tax credits.
