Colleen is of counsel in the firm's Boston office, where she practices in the Public Finance Section.
Before joining the firm, Colleen was associated with another prominent Boston law firm, where she handled insolvency and corporate reorganization matters, and provided advice on creditors' rights and debtor protection against creditors. Colleen joined the firm in 2003 and practiced in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section until 2005. During that time, her practice focused on all aspects of bankruptcy and commercial law, including representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, executives, landlords, and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and other insolvency matters.
In 2005, Colleen joined the firm's Public Finance Section. Her practice involves representation of mutual fund companies, investment advisory firms, and other institutional investors in connection with their investments in tax-exempt securities, both new money and workout transactions. Colleen also has experience in public finance and public agency representation, serving as bond counsel and as counsel to underwriters and borrowers in connection with tax-exempt general obligation and revenue financings.
Colleen was previously Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association Bankruptcy Section Newsletter Committee and Chair of the New England Chapter of the International Women's Insolvency and Reorganization Confederation (IWIRC), and has written and presented various papers related to the insolvency field.
Colleen is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University (1988) and received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University (1995), where she was a Note Editor for The Law Review, a Tauro Scholar, and an Albers Honors Moot Court participant.
