Health Care Reform

Event in Focus

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) along with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 is a product of the health care reform agenda of the Democratic 111th Congress and the Obama administration. The law includes a large number of health-related provisions to take effect over the next four years, including expanding Medicaid eligibility, subsidizing insurance premiums, providing incentives for businesses to provide health care benefits, prohibiting denial of coverage/claims based on pre-existing conditions, establishing health insurance exchanges, and support for medical research.
With all this in mind, Connected's health care reform event will feature members of the LexisNexis Health Care Reform Panel of Experts, an elite group of thought leaders on the various aspects and impacts of the PPACA. During the event, panelists will share their expertise and opinions about the PPACA through blogs, forums and podcasts. The event will culminate with a special two-hour, four-part webinar (30 minutes each) on Wednesday, September 22, beginning at 12 pm ET.
