Biography

Conrad Meyer IV joined Adams and Reese in 2004 and has practiced law in New Orleans since 1969. He is a Partner in the tax area and the transactional area, and focuses particularly in probate, trust work and estate planning. He is also experienced in real estate, corporate and business law, and maritime transactional matters.

Conrad frequently speaks to various industry groups on topics of general business law, estate tax matters, ad valorem taxes, probate matters and estate planning. He is a regular contributor to Workboat Magazine and has authored many articles on topics including estate planning and tax, forced heirship, vessel financing and Admiralty Law.

His other significant contributions include:

· Being Board Certified by the Louisiana Supreme Court in estate planning and probate work.

· Performing asset protection planning for high risk professionals and industries and special needs trust planning for families with special children.

· Title insurance defense work throughout all 64 parishes in Louisiana for several real estate title insurance underwriters.

Outside the office, Conrad is a significant participant in his community. He has worked for the Sugar Bowl for nearly 30 years, chairing many committees, and helped the Bowl in its mission to develop tourism in Louisiana and New Orleans. He served as President for the 2004 game in which LSU defeated Oklahoma for the National Championship.

Conrad played four years of football at Tulane University and was twice named to the All-Academic Southeastern Conference Football Team.

He has also served on local non-profit and community development boards, including the New Orleans Board of Trade, the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association and the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Conrad has served as President of the Tulane University T Club, the Jesuit High School Alumni Association, and the New Orleans Chapter of the National Football Foundation and on the board of the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

He has also served his profession as a Member of the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association and as a Director of the New Orleans Bar Association.
