Corinne Marie Pouliquen brings nearly 20 years of experience practicing intellectual property law, advising clients such as companies, universities and hospitals in various industries, including chemical, mechanical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. Her practice is based in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition law, with a focus on business counseling, intellectual property, licensing, and litigation matters.
Ms. Pouliquen has experience in:
· managing large U.S. and international patent portfolios
· prosecuting patent applications, reissue applications, re-examination, and interference proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
· counseling and rendering opinions on patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement, validity, enforceability, and related issues
· technology licensing including negotiating and preparing licensing, technology transfer, development, material transfer, joint venture, and other intellectual property agreements
· conducting due diligence investigations to assess intellectual property during a transfer of ownership, funding, or other transaction
· undertaking intellectual property audits
· trademark preparation, prosecution, enforcement, licensing, and portfolio management
· trade secret protection
· copyright procurement
Ms. Pouliquen is a frequent author and presenter on various topics surrounding intellectual property law, including the interaction between patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets; and on patent law topics, including patentable subject matter, standards for patentability, novelty requirements, determinations of inventorship, and establishing ownership in intellectual property.
Ms. Pouliquen is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of German.
