Corinne Lacey McCann is an associate at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer with the Business / Commercial Litigation Team. She concentrates her practice in the areas of litigation and appellate practice. Ms. McCann practices and appears both in New Jersey state and federal courts.
Ms. McCann has handled a wide variety of business litigation matters. She focuses her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and disputes involving fiduciary duties, shareholder derivative actions, officer and director liability, redevelopment, contracts, insurance policies, real estate, construction, fraud, and legal malpractice defense.
In addition, Ms. McCann's appellate practice is diverse. She has represented clients on appeal of matters that include business disputes, personal injury actions, criminal defense matters, and divorce litigation that involves valuation of family businesses.
Before joining the firm, Ms. McCann was a judicial clerk from 2008 to 2011 for the Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr., Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Ms. McCann also served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Jr., Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey, from 2007 to 2008.
While attending Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. McCann worked for the Juvenile Justice Clinic appearing in family court in defense of juvenile offenders. She served as Senior Note Editor and was a published member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. She also was the chairperson of the Public Interest Fellowship and Loan Repayment Program's fundraising efforts. Moreover, she served as an intern in the United States Attorney's Office and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Ms. McCann is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, and the Monmouth County Bar Association. In addition, Ms. McCann is a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, a volunteer mentor for the New Jersey Law Firm Group mentorship program, and a participant in the Lifland Inn of Court.
