Craig Ferrante, a partner in the Naples office, is a well-respected Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney who has practiced in Southwest Florida for almost 30 years. He has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of civil litigation arising from traditional tort claims. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in December 2011, Mr. Ferrante was a named partner of a Fort Myers firm for just over six years, handling insurance defense matters. From 1983 to 2005, he was with one of the oldest and largest firms in Southwest Florida and was a shareholder since 1989.
Admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 1981, Mr. Ferrante is a member of the Florida Bar, Lee County Bar Association and Florida Defense Lawyers Association. He has spoken at educational seminars and other engagements around the state of Florida for such organizations as the FDLA, Florida Liability Claims Conference and the General Practice Section of the Florida Bar for which he has served on the Executive Council for almost 20 years. Based upon his years of involvement in tort litigation, Mr. Ferrante has lectured on such topics as traumatic brain injuries, spoliation of evidence, mediation, and seat belt defense, sharing his knowledge and experience with members of the insurance industry and other attorneys.
Mr. Ferrante graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Business Administration in 1977, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He continued his studies at the University of Florida earning his Juris Doctorate degree in 1980.
Outside of his law practice, Mr. Ferrante is an avid baseball fan and cheers for the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, Donna, and three sons, Brooks, Ty, and Cal.
