The Craver Law Firm focuses on a broad range of real estate and other transactional matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, construction, financing, leasing, workouts, restructuring, and joint ventures. The firm has represented and counseled developers and individual investors, corporations, lenders, local and national real estate companies and individuals. Michael Craver has 15 years experience as a practicing lawyer. Early in his legal career, Mr. Craver worked on various real estate, corporate and estate matters, including the management of several major state, county and municipal real estate projects where he represented municipal and county governments and state agencies. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Craver worked primarily for Hillwood Development Company, a Perot Company, on matters including the development of the American Airlines Center home of the (Dallas Mavericks NBA franchise and the Dallas Stars NHL hockey club) and the surrounding Victory Park development. Mr. Craver joined Hillwood in September of 2000 and served for nine years as Associate General Counsel, where he worked mainly with the Hillwood Capital division on the development of the American Airlines Center and Victory Park projects. The work on the Victory Park Development included the design and implementation of a legal structure for the development of over 10 million square feet of mixed-use development. In 2009, after the passing of Mr. Craver's father, Jim Craver, Michael Craver decided to move with his family back to his home town of Centerville, Iowa to take over his father's practice. Jim Craver practiced law for over 40 years in Centerville, Iowa and operated the Craver Law Firm since 1988. Michael Craver represents a broad spectrum of clients in Iowa and in Texas.
