Crystal T. Williams is an associate in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and the Food, Drug and Device Law practice group. Mrs. Williams concentrates her practice in general litigation, food labeling (e.g. health, nutrient content and structure/function claims, allergens, Nutrition Facts, and menu labeling) and food advertising (e.g. weight management, children, competitive).
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mrs. Williams practiced general litigation and labor and employment law with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP in Chicago.
In 2005, Mrs. Williams received her B.A. in psychology from Indiana University. Mrs. Williams earned her J.D. in 2008 from Duke University School of Law, where she was president of the graduate student body, a guardian ad litem for Durham County and a Street Law teacher for Durham County Public Schools.
Mrs. Williams is actively involved in a number of civic and professional organizations. She is a member of the board of directors for Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and president of the board of directors for Indiana Fair Chance LLC, a position she has filled since the organization's inception in 2001. Mrs. Williams is also a member of the Indiana, Illinois, Chicago and Cook County Bar Associations. Mrs. Williams is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Duke University Alumni Association, a lifetime member of the Indiana University Alumni Association and sits on the Neal-Marshall Alumni Club Board of Managers for Indiana University.
She is admitted to practice in the states of Indiana and Illinois, and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
