Curt W. Hidde is a partner in the Corporate Department of the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and a member of the firm's Financial Institutions and Entrepreneurial Services Practice Groups.
Mr. Hidde's primary areas of practice include securities law, corporate finance, private equity, general corporate matters, and financial institution and insurance company regulation. He has represented numerous public and private companies in a wide variety of transactions and matters, including public and private offerings of securities (including IPOs), tender offers and takeover offers, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, going private transactions, and venture capital and private equity investments. Mr. Hidde also regularly advises clients on SEC compliance matters, corporate governance issues, and banking law issues.
Mr. Hidde graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Venture Club of Indiana and the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. He also serves as an Advisory Board member for the Central Indiana Small Business Development Center.
Mr. Hidde is a member of the Business Law Sections of the Indianapolis and American Bar Associations and is a frequent speaker on securities, business, banking, and corporate law issues. In 2011, Mr. Hidde was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal's list of "Who's Who in Banking and Finance."
