About this office:
Situated in the 8th district of Paris near the Parc Monceau, the Curtis Paris office was established in 1973. The Paris office works closely with our other offices in Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Middle East and Central Asia. In addition to their legal training, many of our lawyers in the Paris office have studied at business schools and universities around the world, enabling our lawyers to combine the resources of an international law firm with an in-depth understanding of French law and business practices for the benefit of our clients.
Lawyers in the Paris office principally advise international corporations, securities purchasers, managers, credit institu-tions, foreign governments and investment funds. Our lawyers regularly respond to complex issues, and provide clients with corporate, commercial, tax, securities, and French, other European and U.S. competition law services. We are ac-tively involved in providing advice and assistance to clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and restructurings in France, Europe and other jurisdictions. Our Paris office also is known for having exten-sive experience handling domestic and international arbitration matters, particularly given our close proximity to the headquarters of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Peter Wolrich, the Paris office managing partner, is a recognized leader in the field of international arbitration and currently is serving as Chairman of the ICC Commission on Arbitration.
The Paris office is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that includes French and American lawyers, many of whom are admitted to practice in both Paris and New York. The office is a part of the Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, a New York limited liability partnership. To ensure a consistently high level of service and the full benefit of our resources and global reach, Curtis utilizes an integrated team approach across offices and practices.
