Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP: Reviser of the Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Oman, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela Law Digests for this Directory.
About this office:
Located in the San Babila area of the city, the Milan office formerly was established as an Italian law firm associated with Curtis and became a Curtis branch office in 2008. Our Milan office includes both Italian and internationally trained attorneys, several of whom also are university professors.
The Milan office attorneys counsel clients in general corporate matters, including establishing subsidiaries in Italy and complying with Italian corporate regulations, as well as mergers and acquisitions, labor law, real estate, intellectual property, tax, administrative and finance matters. We also are experienced in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, particularly in real estate, distribution and corporate restructurings. Milan attorneys represent clients before EU courts and commissions, national courts throughout Italy, and national and international arbitral bodies.
Our Milan office attorneys work closely with the other Curtis offices worldwide on energy law in the oil and gas sector, representing clients before the Italian and EU energy regulatory authorities and structuring and negotiating cross-border energy transactions, including contracts for the transportation and distribution of natural gas. We act on behalf of our clients in some of the most significant international arbitrations worldwide, handling disputes under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
Members of the Milan office are admitted to practice in Italy and are a part of the Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, an English-registered limited liability partnership.
