Curtis P. Bounds is a director at Bayard where he is head of the Family Law practice. Curtis focuses on family law matters and practices in the Delaware Family Court in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.
Curtis concentrates his experience in high net worth divorce and high conflict custody cases. He also assists clients with pre and post-nuptial agreements, support matters, visitation, and adoption.
Curtis is a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, and he is a past Chair of the Delaware Bar Association Family Law Section. He currently serves on the Delaware State Bar Association's Fee Dispute Conciliation and Mediation Committee and as a Commissioner to the Delaware Family Law Commission, a public body created by Statute, whose members are appointed by the House and Senate, to hear and advise on issues related to family law. He also serves as a member of the Delaware Humanities Council, the governing board of the Delaware Humanities Forum. Curtis is also a member of the University & Whist Club.
Curtis lectures and writes on family law matters for continuing legal education seminars, adult education classes, public interest groups, and legal publications. Curtis contributes to the Delaware Bar Association Family Law Section's annual review of Family Law, and also serves as the reporter on Delaware cases in Family Law Quarterly, a publication of the American Bar Association Family Law Section.
