Cynthia is a member in the Intellectual Property Section with a primary focus in the fields of biotechnology particularly the fields of immunology, molecular biology, including next generation sequencing methods and analysis, molecular diagnostics, plant biology, microbiology, cell biology, cancer therapeutics, virology, glycobiology and stem cells.
She advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences companies, research institutions, universities, and hospitals throughout the world in developing and implementing worldwide patent strategies and in the prosecution, licensing, and enforcement of patents.
Cynthia is involved in preparing validity and infringement opinions, conducting freedom-to-operate analyses, performing due diligence activities and inventorship analysis.
Before joining the firm, Cynthia previously was a Project Manager at Strategic Diagnostics, Inc., managing the bioprocessing department that manufactured monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and academic organizations.
She is admitted to practice Massachusetts, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
