Ms. Keliher is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. Her practice involves all aspects of real estate law including leasing, financing, zoning, development, permitting, tax abatement, foreclosures and loan workouts and commercial and residential condominiums. Ms. Keliher focuses a great deal of her practice on leasing, representing landlords and tenants in complex ground, retail, office and data center leases. Significant representations include representation of public authority in connection with five ground leases for a mixed use development including a proposed marina, shipyard and residential apartments and condominiums; representation of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in disposition of three former state hospitals including rezoning, permitting and subdivision approvals; and representation of a university in connection with a ground lease, permitting and construction of a state of the art boathouse.
Ms. Keliher is very active in the community. She is a past president of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE), a non-profit organization created by a group of professional women to promote the advancement of women within the commercial real estate industry, consisting of over 400 members. Ms. Keliher was appointed by Governor Cellucci in July of 1998 to serve as a member of the Blue Ribbon Panel for Open Space Protection to help set the priorities of the Commonwealth's Land Protection Program. In 1998, she was appointed by Mayor Menino, the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority to serve on the Strategic Development Study Committee for the Boston Extension Portion of the Turnpike Air Rights Development.
Ms. Keliher is a volunteer at Children's Hospital, has been a member of The Jimmy Fund Council of Greater Boston since 1989 and is a former Vice President of The Jimmy Fund Council.
Ms. Keliher has been recognized as a Chambers USA "Leaders in their Field" lawyer for 2011 and 2012, is in the 2008 - 2012 issues of The Best Lawyers in America and is recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer for 2005 - 2011.
