Cynthia Cwik is an experienced litigator who has handled a variety of complex matters, including class actions, mass tort matters, consumer fraud actions, and product liability actions. She has extensive experience in cases involving issues of science and technology. Cynthia has had significant victories in several high profile matters. In one case, a journalist described her as formidable and the mastermind behind the team's savvy attack. Cynthia was featured in another article that described her as having “fierce focus and keen attention to scientific detail. This article also noted that she has been recognized on numerous occasions for her legal prowess and describes her as an indefatigable and accomplished litigator. She has represented clients in multidistrict litigation proceedings, appeals, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
Cynthia has been a leader in many bar and professional activities. She is the current Chair of the ABA Section of Science and Technology Law, which focuses on cutting edge issues at the intersection of law, science, and technology, including cybersecurity, privacy, computer crime, and data protection. She has served as President and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Yale Law School Association, and she continues to serve as an honorary (lifetime) member. She is a frequent lecturer and has made presentations to the Association of General Counsel and the National Judicial College. She also has served as President of the San Diego Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Children at Risk Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association.
