Chuck practices with the firm's Commercial Finance & Banking, Commercial Litigation, and Real Estate sections.
Following graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1980 and a clerkship with the Honorable J. Edward Tease in Lauderdale County in 1980-81, he returned to Mobile where his early practice involved maritime matters in addition to banking and general business. His practice developed primarily in the areas of secured lending transactions, banking defense litigation, and depository advice for local and regional banks, in addition to real estate. Currently, Chuck continues to focus primarily in these areas, in addition to handling other matters of a business nature, including business litigation. He serves as outside counsel for commercial matters for one of the largest private employers in Mobile.
Chuck is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Alabama, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He is also a member of the local and state bar associations and the American Bar Association, including the Business Law Section.
