D.J. Lynde is an associate in our Business Law Group in Toronto. He maintains a general corporate practice.
Mr. Lynde received his LL.B. from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2010. While at U of A, Mr. Lynde was awarded the Bryan & Company Student Leadership Award (2010) and was a two-time recipient of the McCarthy Tétrault Leadership Award (2008 and 2009). During his legal studies, Mr. Lynde was an editor for the Alberta Law Review, Canons of Construction and Review of Constitutional Studies, as well as serving as President of the Law Students' Association. During 2009-2010, Mr. Lynde clerked with the Alberta Provincial Court.
Mr. Lynde obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Science and History from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) in 2007, graduating with distinction and receiving the UWO Gold Medal. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Lynde founded The Social Contract, UWO's first undergraduate political science journal and acted as its inaugural editor-in-chief in 2005-2006.
Mr. Lynde was called to the Ontario bar in 2011. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. Mr. Lynde currently serves on the Crescent School Alumni Executive, acting as chair of its Governance Committee.
