Daniel Artenosi is an associate in the Municipal Law Group in Toronto. He maintains a general planning and development law practice, which includes providing advice and advocacy in matters pertaining to municipal approvals and municipal law generally including:
· coordinating and providing advice to developers on development applications, including official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, site plan approvals, minor variances, consents, plans of subdivision, various applications under the Ontario Heritage Act and approvals related to the redevelopment of residential rental property;
· preparing and negotiating development agreements on behalf of developers, including bonusing agreements under Section 37 of the Planning Act, heritage easement agreements under the Ontario Heritage Act and site plan agreements;
· advising on matters related to property tax and expropriation;
· advising on matters related to the City of Toronto's Green Roof By-law, including attending as a guest speaker at an Industry Seminar held in Vancouver (February 2012) to discuss the Green Roof By-law; and,
· appearing before the Ontario Municipal Board on behalf of development clients.
Mr. Artenosi has extensive experience with the City of Toronto Lobbyist Registry, and provides regular advice to clients on such matters.
Mr. Artenosi has been involved in the negotiation of a financial incentive package for a major mixed-use project in the north end of the City of Toronto which included negotiation of a site specific community improvement plan and an implementing financial incentive agreement.
