Daniel Rhynhart has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation matters nationwide. He serves both corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of industries, including computer software and technology, retail, insurance and financial services, banking, transportation, construction, and healthcare, in disputes involving breaches of contract, fraud, intellectual property, trade secrets, corporate governance, and many other areas.
The Philadelphia Business Journal recognized Mr. Rhynhart as one of its "40 Under 40" in 2010, awarded for outstanding business success and contributions to the community.
Mr. Rhynhart is a frequent speaker at legal and industry seminars, including the following recent topics: "Cloud Computing and its Impact on Litigation"; "Drafting Software License Agreements to Avoid Pitfalls in Litigation"; "Software Systems Implementations: Avoiding Litigation"; "Enforcing Employee Non-Compete Agreements"; and "Arbitration: Pros and Cons." Mr. Rhynhart co-authored the Software Information & Industry Association's (SIIA) White Paper on SAAS Service Level Agreements.

· Breach of contract and trademark infringement action between manufacturers and distributors of lighting technologies-AAA arbitration award
· Breach-of-contract, fraud, and RICO action between mortgage company and top agents-verdict in federal court followed by AAA arbitration award, confirmed by federal court
· Fraud action by equity fund and holding company against sellers of a transportation logistics company-$30 million JAMS arbitration award, confirmed by federal court-third largest trial verdict in Pennsylvania that year
· Shareholder dispute concerning corporate governance and distribution of profits in US-Mexico joint venture-international ICC arbitration award
· Software patent infringement action between Fortune 500 and software companies-secured defense verdict in federal court on summary judgment
· Real estate title insurance dispute-jury verdict in state court followed by successful defense on appeal
· Employee non-compete and non-solicitation-obtained a TRO and preliminary injunction in federal court that forced a client's competitor to cease raiding company employees
· Breach of confidentiality and misappropriation of trade secrets-obtained a TRO in federal court that forced a client's former top officer to cease competing operations and return intellectual property and customer lists
Community Service & Affiliations
Mr. Rhynhart serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter.
Mr. Rhynhart serves as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County's Compulsory Arbitration Program.
Mr. Rhynhart was an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar at Boston University School of Law. He was president of his class at Colgate University and serves as Class Reunion Chair.
Mr. Rhynhart handles a number of pro bono cases each year on behalf of indigent clients. He was recognized by Blank Rome with its Pro Bono Hero award in 2010, and has been named to the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania's Pro Bono Roll of Honor in every year since 2006.
