Dan primarily practices trial and appellate civil litigation including products liability claims and commercial disputes. He also represents clients in transactions for the purchase, sale and licensing of high technology products and services. He has obtained outstanding litigation results with reductions in litigation costs for national corporate clients. His accomplishments as both a litigator and supervisor of litigation include forming and managing multi-role litigation teams of national and local counsel in over 350 cases in over 40 jurisdictions. Dan has successfully implemented programs for reducing/avoiding liability by preparing product warnings, developing and implementing recalls, training client personnel in report writing and record-keeping, drafting contract provisions requiring clients' suppliers to indemnify it, and developing and implementing bad venue avoidance strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Dan was an Associate with a Memphis, Tenn., law firm, where he handled trial and appellate work in the areas of antitrust, Uniform Commercial Code, products liability, real estate and insurance defense. He also previously served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Assistant Attorney General.
