Danny works extensively with the rules concerning the carryover and utilization of net operating losses and other tax attributes, the special tax rules applicable to bankruptcy and out-of-court workout situations and the complicated issues that arise in transactions among affiliated and related parties. He also works closely with various financial institutions on problems that arise under special provisions of the law applicable to such taxpayers.
Danny advises closely held businesses that have elected S corporation status on the intricacies of these rules. He counsels real estate investment trusts (REITs), including clients on the leading edge of the use of these structures in the timber and forest products industry.
