Professional Experience
Daniella M. Azevedo is an associate in the firm's Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use department. Daniella practices in the areas of commercial real estate development, acquisition, finance, leasing, disposition and asset management. Clients represented include banks, insurance companies, investment banks, commercial lenders, and corporations. Daniella has worked on numerous transactions involving the acquisition, development, sale and financing of real property as well as foreclosure and restructuring of real estate projects.
While in attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, Daniella clerked at the Connecticut Federal District Court and with the Senate at the Connecticut General Assembly. Prior to entering the practice of law, Daniella worked in Economic Development in Texas.
Daniella is originally from Brazil and speaks four languages fluently, French, Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Representative Matters
· Provided assistance on a two loan financing of an acquisition of a 33 property portfolio in Miami, Florida totaling $170 million.
· Substantial assistance on the financing of a $213 million construction loan in Boston, Massachusetts.
· Lead role on a $165 million financing transaction in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
· Substantial assistance in a deed in lieu of foreclosure transaction with an outstanding loan balance of $6.9 million in the State of New Jersey.
· Substantial assistance on a $64 million financing transaction in Boston, Massachusetts.
· Substantial assistance in a deed in lieu of foreclosure transaction with an outstanding loan balance of $6.6 million in the State of Connecticut.
· Provided assistance on the modification and restructuring of a hotel loan transaction with an original loan amount of $22 million in the state of New York.
· Substantial assistance on a $115 million financing transaction in the state of Massachusetts.
· Provided assistance on an Environmental Impact Study contract in Brazil for an alternative energy project totaling $300 million.
