| Biography | Prior to joining Turner Padget in June 1980, Danny served as an Attorney-Advisor for the Social Security Administration and as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Columbia. Since joining the firm, he has continued to represent local governments and their employees both as outside retained counsel and as a municipal attorney. He has served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Saluda since 1997 and as City Attorney for the City of Cayce since 1998. He formerly served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Irmo from 1994 to 1996 and for the Town of St. Matthews from 1997 to 2005. Danny also was General Counsel for the Municipal Association of South Carolina from January 2003 through July 2005. From 1983 to 2003, he served as a substitute Municipal Court Judge for the City of Columbia. Danny received certifications as a mediator from the State Supreme Court and the United States District Court in 1996. He was certified as a state circuit court arbitrator in 1997. Selected to 2008-2011 Best Lawyers in America (Municipal and Alternative Dispute Resolution) and selected as the 2011 ADR Lawyer of the Year for Columbia, SC awarded by Best Lawyers in America.
