Dante concentrates his practice in complex litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of professionals including attorneys, accountants, architects and engineers and directors and officers. In this capacity Dante has represented a considerable number of attorneys, accountants, architects and engineers in professional malpractice actions. In addition to his defense of professionals, Dante is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and his practice includes all aspects of intellectual property law including federal and state litigation, appeals, patent and trademark prosecution, licensing and client counseling. In this capacity, Dante has represented a significant number of product manufacturers, designers and distributors in products liability actions. Dante also has significant experience in the areas of business litigation, intellectual property, insurance and admiralty and maritime law. He has represented many clients in intellectual property actions including claims for misappropriation of trade secrets and trademark infringement, marine terminal operators, ship owners in cargo, property damage and personal injury claims as well as restaurants, hotels and businesses in premises liability claims involving allegations of serious and permanent injuries. Before joining the firm, Dante worked as an electrical design engineer in the manufacturing and machine design fields. In 1992 Dante received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and subsequently, in 1998, received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law - Camden, New Jersey. Significant Representative Matters · Obtained an involuntary dismissal at close of plaintiff's case in a trucking case arising out of the recovery of a wreck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. · Obtained summary judgment in a suit arising out of the drowning of an eight-year-old boy and near drowning of his mother. The plaintiffs alleged that defendant negligently designed and maintained a culvert and failed to warn about dangerous tidal currents in an area which was a popular crabbing and fishing spot. Successfully argued that the defendant, a land conservatory trust, had no possession or control over the area or culvert and that it was statutorily immune from liability under the New Jersey Landowner's Liability Act. In addition, it was argued any claim for negligent design was barred by the Statute of Repose. · Obtained summary judgment on a property damage claim arising out of the renovation of defendant's building where plaintiff alleged that construction damaged his adjacent buildings. · Obtained dismissal of a breach of contract claim arising out of the sale of a business wherein plaintiffs alleged the seller continued to operate in violation of a non-compete clause. · Obtained dismissal on behalf of foreign news agency in a defamation action where plaintiff alleged various foreign news agency published defamatory stories about him. · Obtained summary judgment with regard to plaintiff's emotional injury claims where it was shown that plaintiff sustained no physical injury and was not within the "zone of danger."
